Belle is a large girl, at 25 3/4 inches at the withers (top of shoulder blades) and almost 70 lbs. at 18 months old as shown in the above photo, although though she is a large girl she has a harmonious balance and is very well proportioned to her size. She was imported from Canada. Thanks to Cindie @ Double Barrel Kennels where her parents were direct imports from Germany and carries a lot of the famous Hege-Haus bloodline in her background. She holds her head high and glides across a field like a show dog in the show ring and brings a smile to my face just to watch her work a field. She has an amazing prey drive, and she has had unbelievable tracking skills of wounded game since she was very small, not many a cripple out foxes this little Gal, she has a very staunch point, excellent nose, natural honor, and loves the water as well. She naturally ranges in the 20 to 50 yard range. Which is the perfect range for a foothunter like myself who hunts the small fields and tight woods of Southern New Jersey. She has a sweetheart's personality, the only thing she loves more than lying her head in my lap for a rub is hunting. She does have that incredible on off switch when in the field she has a incredibly strong prey drive at home she turns it off and is a great house dog in the home. She passed 4 consecutive legs out of 4 hunt tests ran, easily earning her Junior Hunter title at 11 months old..
